Four tools. One engine underneath.
Every number on this site — tax, EMI, SIP, lumpsum — is computed by the same small set of Python functions, so the results stay consistent from one calculator to the next.
Income Tax Calculator
Old vs new regime, side by side, with the exact slab-wise breakdown, standard deduction, Section 87A rebate and marginal relief.
Calculate tax → 02EMI Calculator
Home, car or personal loan EMI, total interest payable, and a year-by-year principal vs. interest schedule.
Calculate EMI → 03SIP Calculator
Future value of a monthly mutual fund SIP, with an optional annual step-up, and invested vs. returns split.
Calculate SIP returns → 04Lumpsum Calculator
Future value of a one-time investment with annual, monthly or daily compounding — for mutual funds or fixed deposits.
Calculate lumpsum returns →We show our working — because "trust us" isn't good enough for tax math.
One Python file, not scattered JavaScript. Every calculation — tax slabs, EMI amortisation, SIP compounding — lives in a single, readable Python module on the server. The browser never re-implements the maths, so there's only one place a bug could hide, and it's the place we test.
Verified against the Finance Act, not memory. The tax slabs, standard deduction, Section 87A rebate, marginal relief and surcharge figures on this site are checked against the Finance Act 2025 and current CBDT guidance, not reconstructed from general knowledge of "how Indian tax usually works."
The slab-wise breakdown is always visible. The tax calculator doesn't just give you a final number — it shows exactly how much tax falls in each slab, so you can check the arithmetic yourself.
Dated, and re-checked when rules change. Every page states when its figures were last verified. When a Budget changes a rate, we update the calculator and the date — we don't leave stale numbers live.
Understand the rules, not just the result

Is ClearFinBooks free to use?
Yes. All calculators are free, with no sign-up or email required. We don't store the numbers you enter.
Are these calculators a substitute for a tax advisor or CA?
No. They're planning tools to help you estimate outcomes and compare options. For filing your return or for decisions with legal or financial consequences, confirm with a qualified chartered accountant or the official Income Tax Department portal.
Which tax regime is the default for FY 2025-26?
The new tax regime is the default. You can still choose the old regime when filing your return if it works out cheaper for you — our tax calculator compares both automatically.
Does the Income Tax Act, 2025 change how much tax I pay?
No. It reorganises and simplifies the law's structure and language (and renames "Assessment Year" to "Tax Year") but doesn't itself change tax rates, slabs or deductions — those still come from each year's Finance Act. See our full explainer.
